It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a most precious and beloved cat, Easter Covell, on September 30, 2026. Often referred to affectionately as princess, Easter kitty, bunny, and baby girl, Easter was not just a pet; she was a cherished member of the family, a loyal friend, and a comforting companion. An adventurous spirit, she relished the thrill of chasing a laser pen, always eager for a playful skirmish. As the quote by Anatole France beautifully illustrates, "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." Easter was the embodiment of love, awakening and enriching our lives in countless ways.
Easter was a smart and intuitive soul, with a knack for seeking out snacks and a love for meal times. But it was her yearning for affection that truly set her apart. When she wanted snuggles, she made it known, and there was no denying her. She was the epitome of a loving heart, filling many lives with warmth and tenderness. She was an integral part of our lives, filling the void of maternal instinct for her human momma, Candace Covell. Easter's loyalty and love helped Candace navigate through some of the darkest periods of her life.
Approaching 19 years of age, Easter lived a long and fulfilling life. She will be greatly missed, for she was more than just a cat, she was a beacon of love and resilience. Her presence brought so much joy and comfort, helping keep our heads above water during challenging times. As Leonardo da Vinci once said, "The smallest feline is a masterpiece." And indeed, Easter was a masterpiece, a testament to the profound bond between humans and animals. As we remember Easter, we celebrate her life and the immeasurable joy she brought to us.
Please feel free to share your memories of Easter and upload any photos you may have on her memorial page. Each shared memory or photo helps keep her spirit alive and allows us to remember the happiness she brought into our lives.
Until we meet again beautiful Easter Kitty
