With a wagging tail and a heart full of love, we bid farewell to our loyal and loving friend Gizmo Palz, affectionately known as Mo, G-Money, and to those closest to him, Booger. Born on May 7, 2011, Gizmo packed a lifetime of adventure, courage, and rascality into his 15 years before leaving us on May 21, 2026.
His family will fondly remember Gizmo's undying love for eating, an activity that always left his tail wagging in sheer delight. Whether it was a gourmet treat or leftovers, Gizmo's love for food was unparalleled, his appetite, insatiable. But food was not his only passion. Gizmo, the adventurous spirit, loved to travel, always eager to sniff out a new trail or explore a hidden backyard nook. His adventurous and fearless spirit echoed the words of Mark Twain: "Courage is not the absence of fear; it is acting in spite of it."
Gizmo was a steadfast and loyal companion to his Momma, Diane Palz, always by her side, offering silent comfort in times of sorrow and sharing moments of joy. He was also a beloved member of the Palz family, bringing joy and laughter to his Dad, Rich Palz, his sister Luna, brother Tyler, sister-in-law Cynthia, nephew Leo, Grandmother Susan, and uncles Bob and Joe. His presence will be deeply missed but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
In Gizmo's honor, we remember the words of Anatole France, "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." Gizmo, your unfaltering loyalty, endless love, adventurous escapades, and courageous heart have left a permanent paw print on our souls.
We invite you to leave your memories, stories, and upload photos of Gizmo to the memorial page, as we celebrate his life and the joy he brought to ours.
