Shaun Myers - President and Founder
For over 32 years, Shaun Myers has worked to set high standards in funeral service. As a graduate of the University of Minnesota, he has excelled in funeral service. He earned the distinction of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner from the Academy of Funeral Service Practitioners; served as President of the Utah Funeral Directors Association; and member of the National Funeral Directors Executive Committee and Policy Board; He was the chair of the National Funeral Service Foundation; chair of the Utah Funeral Service Board and member of the Utah Preneed Funeral Board. He enjoys community service and has served as a Trustee to the Weber State University Board of Trustees; President of WSU Alumni Association, Wildcat Club, Mt. Ogden Rotary and the Foundation for Hospice Northern Utah.
When Shaun was a young boy, his family raised Irish Setters. His favorite was Blaze, who was a gentle, kind member of the family. Shaun spent many happy days with his loyal friend and constant summer companion. Blaze taught Shaun about kindness, happiness and the importance of positive, good relationships. Shaun learned the importance of hard work and responsibility as his father, Richard, loved the Western Lifestyle and always kept horses in a pasture behind the family home. Shaun helped to train, break and care for those horses. He especially enjoyed observing and assisting their mares with the miracles of birth and he developed a great love for the young colts they raised and trained.
Shaun and his wife, Christina, and their pet loving family of six children, have learned the important stewardship we have to care for our beloved furry friends. The Myers family has loved many dogs, cats, rabbits and other small critters. In the process, the Myers family has been exposed to a pet’s cycle of birth, life and death which has taught them valuable lessons of great happiness and sadness as they have lovingly cared for their pet companions.
Shaun has always believed that there is a better way to care for the end-of-life sorrows we all experience with the loss of our pet companions. For that reason, the Myers family established Pets at Peace, which uniquely offers pet owners every type of compassionate pet memorialization option.Christina Myers with her trail

Christina L. Myers - Public Relations Director
Christina moved from her native homeland of Sweden in 1983 to pursue her graduate degrees at the University of Utah. Presently, she divides her time between teaching Spanish language courses at Weber State University and serving as Public Relations Director at Myers Pets at Peace.
She truly enjoys being involved and helping wherever she can in our community as well as in the world. Her volunteerism spirit is evident in her varied service as Wish Granter for Make-A-Wish Utah, member of board of directors of YCC – the Domestic Violence Shelter in Ogden, Hospitality Co-Chair of Ogden Pioneer Days Committee, executive board member of HumanityCorps, and founding president of Charities FAHUM U.S.A. (Fundación de ayuda humanitaria.)

She has lovingly cared for two Shih Tzus, a Brittany Spaniel, innumerable rabbits, birds, stray cats, horses and rescued mice. Christina has a special bond with her favorite trail-running partners, the family Aussies, Milo and Maya.
Tim Neal with his dog Lily
Tim Neal - Pet Loss Counselor
Tim had the opportunity of being raised on a farm in Idaho located far from any neighbors, so there were no friends to hang out with during the summer months. That being the case, his best friends were dogs, cats, chickens, and horses. Tim had such a love for these special friends that he would smuggle them all into his bedroom at night so that he could talk and visit with them all night long about the next day's activities they had planned.
At one point, he had gathered so many strays and brought them home that he ended up with a total of 13 dogs and countless cats. His dad finally told him he had to cut down on his number of animal friends but after several days of debating which ones to give up he couldn't come up with a decision of which ones to let go. Unable to resolve his dilemma, Tim packed a few of his belongings, gathered his dogs and cats, and headed to the hills to live. This act finally softened his dad and he invited them all back home to stay.
Tim and his wife have always loved their little partners and marvel at their natural ability to show love, loyalty, and comfort to us. Jointly they state that, “We have learned from our little special pets that when we lose a loved one in our lives, we all need this loving and compassionate support that we receive from our little four-legged family members.” Tim has been employed by Myers Mortuary for 28 years and joined the staff at Myers Pets at Peace in 2013.

Wes and his wife have ten children. They have lived in Ogden for the last 25 years and love the natural beauty and the wonderful people in the area. Wes enjoys the days he can hike along one of the many trails above Ogden.
